I got a new lap top. But 1,000 of my songs are on my old computer, that is infected by a virus and almost broken, hence why I got a new lap top. I’m still able to access my music files and iTunes on my old computer. How can I transfer them over?
* Is there any possible way I can just plug my iPhone into my new lap top and save my music files from my phone into my new computer? That would be so much easier but I dont want to try it and have all my songs erased. Any suggestions?

You can try to plug in your iPhone into your new lap top because even if they erase it all (which it probably won’t) you can just plug it into your old computer again and sync everything back on. You can also try homesharing. That would probably work the best because then it transfers everything from your old computer to your new one.
In fact, you can use an iphone to computer transfer program to help.I personally use Cucusoft iPad/iPhone/iPod to Computer Transfer. It helps me to transfer my songs/videos/photos/playlists etc from iphone to my new computer directly and safely. It works well for me,you can give it a try.
Free download it at: http://www.ipodtocomputercopy.com/ipodco…
It even has step-by-step guide on the whole process.
Hope it helps.
You can keep asking on http://answers.yahoo.com or use http://www.ask.com to search more
If you figure it out tell me. I need to do that also.
You can transfer songs purchased on the itunes store, provided you have the password and Apple ID of the account with which the songs were bought.
When you connect the iphone to the computer, it should ask you if you want to do this and will warn you that its synced with another itunes library, so it shouldn’t wipe it.
If you can still access the files on the computer it makes things a lot easier. Put them onto a flash drive or some other storage device and connect the device to your new computer. Make sure the “keep itunes media folder organized” box is ticked under “edit > preferences > advanced” in itunes.
Now, in itunes, click “file > add folder to library”, browse for the folder(s) on the device and hit “select folder”. If that doesn’t work, open each folder individually (in “windows explorer” or “finder” if on a mac), select all the files and drag them into itunes (or copy and paste).
For the purchased songs to work, you’ll have to authorise your computer for the account that the songs were purchased on. This can be done on up to 5 computers for each Apple ID. As I found out a while back, if you had to wipe your computer, itunes counts it as another computer when you get it working again
