Today has been the 4th time people that are from “windows” have been calling my house in the past 3 weeks. She or he keeps telling me to turn on my computer (that hasn’t been turned on in months) because we are downloading “illegal” things and I had tons of viruses on my server. I just got off the phone with the lady and she flipped bananas when I told her about not having my lap top on for awhile. She started to yell and I told her to please stop yelling. And she kept going and telling me to go turn on my computer. The only thing I have downloaded are apps for my I phone THAT’S IT. I don’t know if these guys are the real deal or there just trying to be annoying. But she got mad when I asked what things were being downloaded and when and she wouldn’t tell me and eventually she hung up. If someone can tell me what these people want that would be great! And there not prank calls because all of them have had a very thick accient.

If is definitely a scam of some type and it sounds like they trying to gain access to your pc to what end I’m not sure. But I’m willing to bet it is nothing good. You did the right thing by not cooperating with them.
It is a scam. If Widows needed to contact you, they would send an E Mail, not phone you. If they Phone again, ask them to verify their name and where they are calling from. Then put the phone down .
