If you want paid, it’s a good idea to get a Internet Security Suite. Norton or Kaspesky are very good. You can go to their web sites and get a free trial. If you want just a anti-virus program. Avast, Avira,Nod, Norton, are all good paid choices.
If you want free there are some good ones there. Avira, and Avast are top choices. Microsoft Security is very easy to use, but is weaker than the other two. Don’t be mislead by users who will tell you how good Microsoft is. Some here even give links to tests that show how good it is. The problem is they pick and choose what tests they show. So to make their pick look good they do this. The fact is in all the major testing sites Microsoft is good, but it not as good as the other free choices. And falls even father behind tested against paid software
Microsoft security essentials is the only free antivirus that ranked a 3 out of 3 stars by the experts
so that is prob the best free antivirus Do not get AVG Free btw it does not come with rootkit detection so that is bad
best paid antivirus is kaspersky ranked 3 out 3 by experts
i say get Microsoft security essentials with
