mobile phone virus news and moible virus removal faqs

Every week I get several emails from a neighbor asking me to start a business or give them my bank account. OBVIOUSLY this is a virus. I promptly delete the email and do not do anything with the message. I have texted, phoned and emailed my neighbor telling them about the problem. They never respond to any forms of communications. I added the email address to my blocked emails in Yahoo but still continue to get the messages. Is there anything more that I can do to get them to stop being sent?

I clicked on my iPhone’s pictures and the first picture that popped up was a penis.. I’ve never seen that picture before and no onenelse has had my phone. I haven’t been to any dirty sites or anything, but I did just download a Victoria Secret Pink mobile app. Could it be a virus? Can phones get viruses? help!

If you were a software engineer, could you take a cd software that was purchased for a program, and write other programs on it in addition to what was already on it? I would think there would be some way the companies would make it so you can’t do that.
Eg. If someone wipes out their laptop completely and re-installs the software, could someone have put other programs on the software, like a virus or something, that is getting booted back in? I don’t know a lot about this, so please be clear and concise about how you would detect it and get rid of it. I have wiped my laptop many times, but seem to having a similar issue each time. I think it is on the software. I also think it is somehow getting back on my phone. Eg. I formatted the disc on the phone before getting another phone. I had no problems for about 24 hours. Once I hooked it up to my computer, I started having problems again.

Recently I recieved an email from Shaw saying that my Shaw Secure would expire soon and that I had to install McAfee, their new program. Ever since I have done this I have had constant problems with my computer and have even gotten a virus on my other computer. The other Shaw Secure (I think it was called F-Secure) was far better and I had no problems or confusion when setting it up.
My question is, how do I reinstall the old Shaw Secure I had?

Everyone has probably received a call from a scam artist saying that they have a virus on their computer and that they are going to help you remove it… Claiming that they are from Microsoft or some other possibly legit company. Anyway i want to have fun and im wondering if i set up a virtual Machine and let them mess with that… ie do their remote access/ install etc, then once they are off the phone then delete the virtual machine. Is this going to be unsafe? can they get past the VM into the OS? Also any tips or tricks for these scammers would be appreciated… Thanks

Right so i have been getting texts from various porn sites lately-and no before anyone presumes anything-i have NOT been on pornsites on my phone so i am really confused as to how they have my number. I don’t find the texts offensive or anything, infact some are quite hilarious but they’re getting embarrassing like my phone will buzz then i’ll get some raunchy text come through and all my friends laughing at me (i don’t think they think i’ve been on any sites) but it’s pretty cringey all the same because they are now questionning me about the texts! So my question is how is this happening? Nobody has been on my phone, it’s on me all the time. Nobody has signed me up for anything as a pratical joke. I do browse the internet but don’t download things…so I don’t see how this would explain a porn virus? Also am i getting charged for these filthy texts!? I need HELP!! Has anyone had this before? I AM EMBARRASSED, my inbox is plagued by horny messages from the past couple weeks! Gotta laugh but at the same time, is getting a bit ridiculous now! This morning, my boyfriend got a notification that there was an update on his Evo phone…
He accepted it, and now it keeps crashing his phone.
And whenever he starts it back up, there is a nude lady that is the background, and he cannot change it.

I have the HTC Inspire android phone and got it in late september. Its turning to a real let down lately, and my boyfriend has it, too.
The other night it froze up while I was on the internet and I just let it be and I went to sleep. Its being extremely slow to respond and hard to type. I used my app killer and it usually stops about 17 to 21 operations, but it said it killed 44. I only have about 10 downloaded apps.
