its telling me to put my password to continue, but is it okay to put it? i searched on my phone and saw that it can be a virus?

I dont mind if it costs money but i would prefer it to be free. but mainly i dont want it to screw my iphone with viruses. Thanks if you can give me the best app.

I was browsing Facebook on my phone when I accidentally clicked on a virus containing application (from what I’ve seen millions of users have done the same). It blocked my entire browser with those pop-ups that say “you’ve won a million bucks, click yes to continue or no to stay on the same page”. I grabbed my husband’s phone so I could access Facebook and remove the app in my settings. I logged out of his account and entered my email and password, but as I neared the log in button I realized I might contaminate his phone as well, and I did not log on. I next tried turning my phone off and back on again. This seemed to do the trick, and I was able to remove the app. I was messing around on FB for a while after that when I noticed my notification bubbles weren’t appearing. I would get comments and not know unless I clicked on the globe. Same with messages. I decided to change my password, and once I did I was brought back to the login screen. Tried logging in, didn’t work and said cookies are not enabled (although they are). Got an email verifying that my password had been changed but from another state so I clicked on the security link. Brought me to login, same message about cookies, tried again, said my account is temporarily unavailable and to log on from my computer (which I don’t have) and follow directions. Persistently tried yet again and got the cookies message yet again. At that point I stupidly tried to log on on my husband’s phone (with my new password being my “logical reasoning”) and got the same cookies message. Tried logging onto his account twice (still on his phone) and got both same messages.
Did I pass it onto his phone?
How do we fix our phones? Tried clearing cookies/catches on both phones but no luck.
Also, no other sites seem to be affected, as I am on my phone asking this question, which required me to log onto YA

This sounds awfully fishy to me, is it a scam?

I have an alienware mx14 computer and it was working fine. Then I was told I have about 14 serious viruses, spyware, rootware, backdoor, trojan, all that good stuff. so I did some boot restart on my computer, suggested by my anti-virus system- Avast. Now whenever I start it and hit windows 7 it just goes to system rapair, fails and does the same thing over and over again. The f8 trick doesent work, it just goes to startup repair when I choose that. PLZZ any suggestions on how to fix this mess. They want to charge me 137 dollars just to look into it by phone. I’ll do any other suggestion than that!

You shouldn’t. That said, you probably could, but if it were me, I would clean my desktop up first. I don’t know what kind of system you have, but if you go to cnet.com you can find free or free-to-try antivirus, spyware, and malware programs to use. Check your system first.
