Recently I recieved an email from Shaw saying that my Shaw Secure would expire soon and that I had to install McAfee, their new program. Ever since I have done this I have had constant problems with my computer and have even gotten a virus on my other computer. The other Shaw Secure (I think it was called F-Secure) was far better and I had no problems or confusion when setting it up.
My question is, how do I reinstall the old Shaw Secure I had?
Please help!

Yes crapafee is a horrible program. If you want to get rid of crapafee I suggest you use the crapafee removal tool:http://service.mcafee.com/FAQDocument.as…
Then all you have to do is purchase F secure, and yes, it it a very good program. You can get it here:http://www.f-secure.com/en/web/home_us/h…
You will have to pay every year.
There is a much cheaper option. I use Avast free with MalwareBytes AntiMalware Pro.
MBAM is only 25 dollars for a lifetime license, and is the best all around anti-malware program on the market. Avast is free for 1 year, but you can get a free license every year. Avast is very good at keeping viruses/trojans out, and MBAM picks up the slack where all AV programs leave off, and with the two you have excellent protection.
You can get them here:http://www.avast.com/en-us/indexhttp://www.malwarebytes.org/products/mal…
Did you use the F-secure removal tool before you installed McAfee? if you did not, there are still remanents on your computer that McAfee is treating as viruses.
Any time you un-install a virus protection program to install an upgrade of the same virus protection program or a different virus protection program, you must use the removal tool supplied by the developers of the virus protection program you are un-installing.
Contact Shaw for that answer; but it appears they may no longer be offering F-secure.
If you want F-secure here is their website:http://campaigns.f-secure.com/en_US/sem/…
You were just lucky you did not get any viruses while using the virus protection supplied by your ISP. They are very basic threat protection programs.
It is best to purchase and install your own virus protection on each computer you have connected to the Internet.
I have cleaned many computers where the owners have used their IPS’s protection and they were notified their service was suspended due to viruses on their computer(s). The ISP does not guarantee total protection and it is up to you to fix the problem.
