If you were a software engineer, could you take a cd software that was purchased for a program, and write other programs on it in addition to what was already on it? I would think there would be some way the companies would make it so you can’t do that.
Eg. If someone wipes out their laptop completely and re-installs the software, could someone have put other programs on the software, like a virus or something, that is getting booted back in? I don’t know a lot about this, so please be clear and concise about how you would detect it and get rid of it. I have wiped my laptop many times, but seem to having a similar issue each time. I think it is on the software. I also think it is somehow getting back on my phone. Eg. I formatted the disc on the phone before getting another phone. I had no problems for about 24 hours. Once I hooked it up to my computer, I started having problems again.

Yes technically this is possible, however probably not the case.
Depending on what you was originally wrong with the computer you could be experiencing a hardware failure.
If after a fresh o/s install you continue to have issues and crashes there is a good chance you either have a bad harddrive or a bad ram stick. I would have a local repair shop run a diagnostic for you.
